Scott Veenker

Scott Veenker

Chief Executive - Melbourne Chamber of Commerce

Prior to his recent appointment as Chief Executive of the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, Scott joined the Victorian Chamber as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the organisation’s membership services, internship program, events, marketing, training, health & safety consulting, workplace relations consulting, and the Victorian business of Apprenticeship Support Australia. He is also a Director of Workplace Assured, a separate business that the Chamber has a significant shareholding in.

Scott has more than 20 years’ experience in banking and finance, having held senior positions across multiple distribution channels with Esanda Finance and ANZ.

Scott is a Fellow of FINSIA, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and holds a Masters in Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance).

Tim O'Callaghan

Tim O’Callaghan

General Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Prior to his appointment at the Chamber in November 2020, Tim spent 12 months as Ambassador, Business & Corporate Victoria for the Bushfire Recovery and prior to that, he spent 27 years with Qantas finishing there as Regional Manager, Victoria & Tasmania.

Tim has spent nearly all of his corporate life in the Travel, Tourism and Aviation space. Given this background, one of Tim’s key focus areas is the Visitor Economy and how the Chamber represents this dynamic and challenging sector. Another key role is the Government Liaison and building The Chambers relationships with key stakeholders within Government. Other segments to Tim’s role include managing a team obtaining new Melbourne Chamber of Commerce memberships, The Chambers relationship with Regional Chambers and our Exporting and Consulting business.

Troy Wood

Troy Wood

Senior Relationship Manager

Troy has over 15 years’ experience as a relationship manager, working in customer roles within recruitment and vocational education and training sectors. Prior to joining the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, Troy managed the delivery of the Victorian government's Skills for Growth program and the National Workforce Development Fund for two of Australia's largest registered training organisations. In these roles, he led a team to help enterprises address their workforce development and general business needs.

Michele Canteri

Relationship Manager

Michele has over 20 years of experience working in Account/Relationship Management, Project Management and Customer Service roles across diversified industries including Telecommunications, Healthcare, Travel/Airline, Media, Manufacturing and Construction. Michele also has significant experience managing customer focused teams across both Australia and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and delivering engaging client focused events.

Alan Glover

Relationship Manager

Prior to his appointment as a Relationship Manager at the Melbourne Chamber in March 2022, Alan spent the last 15 years with Etihad Airways finishing there as State Manager, Victoria & Tasmania. A very experienced Sales & Relationship Manager with a proven track record in successful sales development and mentoring sales teams to meet objectives and KPI’s.

Alan has spent 34 years in the Travel, Tourism and Aviation space and originating from Dublin Ireland, Alan moved with his family to Melbourne in 2014 to take up his role with Etihad Airways. Alans key focus is to build on the relationships with the existing MCC members and to grow membership across both the MCC and VCCI Platinum.

Danny Jackson

Danny Jackson

Relationship Manager

Danny has over 25 years of corporate experience primarily in the Travel and Tourism and Aviation sector. His expertise includes Account/Stakeholder Management, Strategy Formulation, Negotiation, Customer Service and Training. Danny is an analytical thinker with a demonstrated record of being able to develop and maintain quality relationships, ensuring favourable business outcomes for all parties. Prior to his appointment with the Chamber, Danny held the role of Strategic Account Manager with Qantas Airways managing a diverse portfolio of corporate accounts on a national basis and has held roles in Travel Tech, Wholesale and Retail.

Danny has an Associate Diploma of Business and the key focus of his role as Relationship Manager is to retain and grow the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce member base.

Eddie Zhao

Eddie Zhao

International Business Development Manager (MARN:0853270)

Eddie Zhao brings over 20 years of international trade expertise delivering consulting services to members, customers and clients.

Eddie works closely with business owners and senior executives across a wide range of industry sectors such as manufacturing, food and beverages, engineering, medical supply, health, textile and clothing, construction, education and tourism, providing export and import advisory and support services.

Eddie is actively involved with the international chamber network and also organises a number of Chamber’s business programs that help members develop sound global trade knowledge, network and connectivity.

Prior to joining the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, Eddie worked for a large international company in Shanghai in various operations management and business development roles across different regions in China. Eddie completed his tertiary education in a Chinese university and holds a MBA qualification from an Australian university.

Amy Bell

General Manager Workplace Relations and Safety,
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Amy is a dual qualified non-practising lawyer and prior to joining the Victorian Chamber gained over 10 years’ experience in private legal practice specialising in employment law.  Amy has represented employers in Australia and internationally and has also acted as in-house counsel advising and managing high risk, high-profile cases at an international ASX20 listed company.

Amy’s calm approach and ability to focus on the issues at hand enables her to navigate, advise on and interpret complex employment matters and achieve commercial solutions. As a leader Amy prides herself on building diverse, multi-skilled, collaborative teams which always put the member first.

Melanie Parkes

Events Manager,
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Melanie Parkes has more than 15 years’ experience in corporate events within the professional services, membership and not-for-profit industries. Melanie and her events team at the Victorian Chamber provide essential events support service for the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce (MCC) members, ranging from intimate Leadership Luncheons, to Best Practice Tours, Cocktail and Gala dinners and Corporate Hospitality along with executing the broader Victorian Chamber events to which the MCC members have access.
